ECO has long been considered as activities related to design change of integrated circuits. Since 2003, Dorado has expanded the scope of ECO to include "all the incremental jobs in the ECO Phase of design flow"​ , and committed the company to providing solutions for all ECO issues... Tweaker supports all possible incremental jobs in the ECO Phase. "ECO Phase"​ normally stands for the design phase in between the first version of the P&R is done and the time the design is functionally/timing closed. In the ECO Phase there are many incremental jobs to be done before we can tape out a chip. Dorado's Tweaker is an ECO tool suite that supports all possible incremental jobs such as Functional ECO, Timing ECO, Metal ECO, Power ECO, and Clock ECO. At the moment that ECO becomes a vital part of design flow, Tweaker product family are in use by various types of semiconductor companies including IDM's, foundries, and fabless companies worldwide, for addressing ECO issues at 28nm, 16nm and the most advanced process nodes with FinFET technology.
